Purpose of the Peoria Food Deals

My main objective with this site is to keep track of weekly food deals and events in the Peoria area. I don't want to stray too far outside of the city of Peoria, but will make some exceptions depending on popularity and quality. I do not yet have a way to add in monthly events. For right now, the priority is just tracking deals and events that happen on the same day every week. This is also not a live events page. That functionality could be considered in the future but is not a priority for now. Drink Specials will be a included however there tends to be a higher volume of these that may not be considered that much of a special so they will likely come under greater scrutiny for getting added in than the food deals.

What is a deal?

I do not consider $1 or $2 off of the original price to be a deal. And to avoid having an overwhelming list, I will generally not be adding such deals to this list as I don't think they are in line with my vision of this site.

Event Types

The general event types I intend to add in here are Trivia, Karaoke, Mingo, Open Mic Night, etc. As long as it is a reoccurring weekly bar/restaurant event it probably meets the criteria. Again, this is not a page for live events like concerts. There are plenty of Facebook groups and pages for tracking that information down.

Submissions

I will generally try to update valid requests within 48 hours. Please do not submit duplicates. If you do not see your request on the main page, be patient. Please check that something does not already exist before submitting something new. Please also refer to the "What is a deal?" section above before submitting. Restaurants that continuously submit underwhelming deals over multiple days may be removed entirely.
